Deep Tissue

A deeper pressure, overall, is applied according to tolerance level, muscle congestion and general state of health;- therapist maintains a comfort level throughout the session.

Appropriate for:

  • athletes
  • non-acute injuries

Swedish

A lighter pressure with flowing strokes intended to induce a state of relaxation, warm a specific group of muscles or simply to introduce the sensation of safe touch.

Clients new to bodywork (massage), for:

  • the elderly
  • children/teenagers
  • non-acute illnesses*

*Intense/Intractable pain or inflammatory states

Sports

A more stimulating style of massage applied for local (small area) or systemic (entire body) benefits.

Rehabilitation

A combination of massage techniques used on a specific area of tension to promote rehabilitation of a muscle or a group of muscles.

Appropriate for:

  • Non-acute injuries
  • Acute muscular congestion

Thai Massage Therapy

A traditional 90 minute session performed on a padded floor mat – recipient is clothed and is placed in a series of body postures to induce passive stretches within a tolerance level.

Appropriate for:

  • Clients new to massage/ bodywork or those preferring to remain clothed
  • Those wanting to explore a passive stretching regime
